As per New Education Policy , Assam Higher Secondary Education Council changed the nomenclature of all Junior Colleges of Assam into Senior Secondary School. New Name of the institute : Hailakandi Science Senior Secondary School. a) Recognised by Director of Secondary Education , Govt. Of Assam. b) Recognised by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. c) Accredited Study Centre of State Open School in 10+2 stage under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
A brief history of the College
Hailakandi Junior Science College came into existance in the year 2005. It was the result of the initiative undertaken by some of the leading educationists of the district. Initially there were lots of obstacles but with sincere dedication and effort by the college management, it has successfully overcome all the odds and in the year 2005 the college obtained its permission under AHSEC. However, since its establishment, the college has been running smoothly producing out-standing result in the Higher Secondary final examination. Another important thing to be mentioned here is the college is blessed with some extremely talented and dynamic teaching staff who are always ready to co-operate and help the students.
Last but not least, it is to be mentioned that the college has already obtained its practical examination centre from AHSEC for Science Stream.
College Infrastructure :
The College is located at the heart of Hailakandi town at Project-E-Road (Ukilpatti), Hailakandi. All classrooms are well furnished with full time gererator facility for all students. Adequate facility for toilet, drinking water and canteen is also available within the campus.
